TODAY we celebrate the splendid Feast of Pentecost when we receive the gift of the Holy Spirit – as Jesus promised. As the Holy Spirit had been 'sent' by the Father and the Son, the Spirit in turn 'sends' the disciples to wherever people are, to preach the Good News of Jesus Christ. Today, we are the recipients of the Holy Spirit, in Baptism and Confirmation, and now we are sent to speak out for Jesus Christ and the kingdom that he came to establish. This message is so vital to a broken world - Jesus is Lord.

 (This marks the end of Eastertide and Ordinary Time resumes with Week 6, Sunday Readings Year A, and Weekday Readings Year 1).

ROBERT MARTIN RIP: Please remember in your prayers, Robert who has died. Robert’s Funeral Service will take place in St Pat’s on Thursday at 10.30am. Please keep the immediate members of his family in your prayers.
